Low Calories Vegetarian Recipe for Diet Onion and Cabbage Saute

Onion-and-Cabbage-Saute
This Onion and Cabbage Saute recipe is very easy to made. This vegetarian recipe is also low in calories so you can add this recipe as a menu if you in a low calories diet program now.

Ingredients to make Onion and Cabbage Saute recipe :
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cups savoy cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried chipotle powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation and Method to make Onion and Cabbage Saute recipe :
  1. Core and shred the cabbage, and put it aside in a bowl.
  2. Dice the onion, making the pieces medium size.
  3. In a 10″skillet, melt about 2-3 tablespoons butter and saute the onions until they just start to turn brown around the edges.
  4. Add the cabbage and gently fold with the onions; add the remaining butter
  5. Put the lid on the skillet and simmer at medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  6. Uncover, stir the mix and add all the spices.
  7. Stir again and place the cover back on and simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
  8. If you want the cabbage to be soft, simmer a little longer.
