Ingredients to make Marinara recipe :
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried basil2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 1/2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- pepper to taste
- salt to taste
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
- Stir in onion, garlic and celery and cook until soft.
- Pour in tomatoes and tomato paste, stir, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
- Stir in parsley, basil, oregano, salt and pepper; simmer 15 minutes, uncovered.
