Ingredients to make One Pot Pasta recipe :
  • 8 ounces macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
Preparation and Method to make One Pot Pasta recipe :
  1. Spray a large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Add oil, and heat over a medium flame.
  3. Add onion and mushrooms. Cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes, until tender.
  4. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, sugar, and spices to skillet.
  5. When mixture begins to boil, stir in pasta.
  6. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 20 minutes.
  7. Stir mixture every 4 to 5 minutes while cooking.
